December 13th - Coco

We did some driving around today, checking out the bays and anchorages south of Coco and they are plenty and stunning: We found at least 4 or 5 beautiful secluded quiet anchorages, some are day anchorages and some are fine for overnight as well. The wind is predominantly from the NE...so we can sail into deeper waters for fishing and sail back again to our starting point (hopefully we will get a big fish soon so Nick can relax). Most of the anchorages you can swim to the beach from the boat. Caught a small grouper trolling with a small rod on the kayak. Josh and I explored around on the beach and found about 20 big turtle nests, 2 still had fresh turtle tracks...the nesting holes were huge...these were big turtles...probably Leatherback Turtles weighing up to 600kg's! Anyway, we are heading up to Coco first thing tomorrow morning to do our check-in, grocery shop and gas bottle refill. We have not been to Coco before, not sure what is there...I will probably catch a cab to the town of Liberia 30min from Coco for the shopping and gas bottles...wish us luck for what may be a LOOOOONG day.
Our anchorage for tonight is a stunning bay (no name on chart??) at 10deg30.492N and 085deg48.052W
