Same story on shimmi: no wind, confused sea that refuses to 'clean up'. Broken up swell seem to come from all directions creating these uncomfortable summits and troughs. We trying hard to catch a fish for the table but no luck.
But we are all doing well, the kids are handling very well, Chantal keeps saying how much better the kids are compared to last time when we crossed with you. We are busy all the time with various versions of shimmi school etc and Josh has fully accepted that we are cruising for a while. Indie of course could not care less except for the fact that he cant walk in these rolly polly conditions. We've been reading a book on the galapagos wildlife, Josh says the creatures look scary and his not sure yet if he wants to go look at them.
I like the sound of your thunderstorm! Hope there were no holes in your undies. Was Liz topless? Wish I was there.
03:30 UTC:
A light E wind just came up, around 12-14knots, we raised full sail and now average around 5-6 knots (no engine yipee!), sea state still nasty especially from the NE so I have to keep shimmi downwind on a very broad reach with the sea from behind otherwise she just rolls too much causing the boom to misbehave etc. But beggars cant be choosers, we will take any wind we can get, at least its not totally up our bums! Hold thumbs, we need a good day!
Cheers
Gol
