LEAVING BORA BORA 4 FIJI

Day 2

We left Bora-Bora yesterday after a solid week on a mooring in front of the Bora-Bora Yacht Club. It was a great spot just to hang out, we used their barbie facilities, bar and little kiddies beach on a daily basis. Other kiddie boats arrived (which we had met previously) called "Someday Came" (Josh's main girlfriend Violet (3) and "Love Song" (Josh's 2 cowboy buds Morgan and Wyatt, aged 3 and 5). They played themselves into a frenzy.
I did not put anything on the blog, but this is actually our second attempt at leaving for Fiji. A week ago we tried, but got hammered in bad seas and light winds, so we turned back to Bora-Bora. We also decided to try and find another crew to help with this next leg.
Day before yesterday our new crew Kahlil joined us, he was on a 55ft Outremer catamaran called Natural Mystic (google it). Now we are around 600 miles from Suvarov atoll (part of the Cook Islands) where we may stop. No wind to speak off, we are just motoring through the night in a calm sea. Did catch a nice yellow fin. As you may know, we have not caught anything significant SINCE GALAPAGOS. That was hard to admit, but there you have it. But Kahlil says they also caught nothing around Tahiti, and only once they have stamped your passport out of FP will you start catching fish again. And VOILA!
Not much else to report, pray for a good wind!
Cheers
