Jacques on Watch!!

Pos 18deg40S, 179deg38E
We left Koro this morning with a 15 knot ENE wind, nice sailing in moderate seas. But by midday the wind became inconsistent and we ended up motoring most of the afternoon. But by 8pm a nice Northeaster came up, and now we are broad reaching at 8 knots to Matuku with only about 25 miles to go. Only problem is that we will arrive at 1-2am, so we will have to spend the rest of the night driving in circles outside the pass, waiting for daylight. We could not wait in Koro any longer as a SE headwind is predicted for Sunday afternoon. But with a midnight arrival I will put Jacques to work in the cockpit whilst I go catch some ZZZZ's. Shimmi is sailing like a beast, very solid. Liz seems totally over her seasickness, right now she is reading a book in the saloon with a head torch.... whilst shimmi is bobbing and weaving across the south Koro sea. Jacques is also quickly learning how to do a watch, although his still mostly just strangles himself when trying to tie a bowline. Otherwise its been a grey and rainy day, we are all looking forward to our landfall at the Lau island called Matuku.
Cheers
